The Confederates Podcast was brought to life through the vision of Tony Anzelone. Tony has spent his entire life in the Northern Virginia area. Surrounded by the battlefields it was easy for Tony to get hooked on the war that played such a part of the history of this region. While Tony holds no history degree, he has been obsessed with the Civil War since he was a child. Tony searched everywhere looking for pod-casts concerning the Civil War. With very little results being found, Tony took the plunge and this Pod-casting /Interactive Blog is the results. When Tony is not doing research for his podcast, he is working with his families small business, loving Steeler football and watching his kids grow up faster than he wants them to.
The Confederates Podcast is based out of a historic home in Old Town Manassas. The location of the first major battle of the Civil War (July21st 1861) and the even larger and bloodier battle of 2nd Manassas (August 28th-30th). Both Southern victories. I highly recommend all civil war buffs visit our beautiful town and take the tour of the battlefield. Sincerely, Tony.
